The description: This is an exciting and unique opportunity to play a key role with 5 different compass sectors! The Regional Vice President will function as National Account Manager for a portfolio of 24 commercial and industrial accounts with 1 client and services managed by 5 Compass sectors. Managed services include: Catering/Catering, Conferencing, Janitorial, Pest Control, Mailroom, Audio Visual, Janitorial, Sales, etc. This is a remote posting, open to life in the Northeastern United States and travel as needed. Ideal candidates should have experience in commercial and industrial facilities, particularly in Life & Sciences accounts, managing national portfolios with multiple workflows (hardware and software services). Main responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for the P&L for the assigned region
Prepares the regional budget. Approves regional and account budgets. Prepares variable budgets for sales and anticipated increases in overhead. Achieves high and low targets within regional, regional and contract variable and control budgets
Ensures that company procedures are installed and working
Ensures that company and customer fixed assets are secure and maintained in full working order.
Approves capital requests within budget
Ensures contract price adjustments are prepared by the assigned team
Responsible for achieving new budgeted regional sales targets through Sales and Services, Public Tenders and Own Selling
Prepares all costs for new contracts and supports new sales proposals
Responsible for negotiating contract renewals
Maintains direct contact with customers at least quarterly and as needed
Ensures account priorities are defined and adhered to. Attend QBRs
Meets company and customer quality standards. Ensures that quality control systems and documentations are maintained
Recruit and train. Assistance in the selection and training of the account manager
Negotiates labor disputes with unions with the assistance of the Vice President of Human Resources or the Director of Human Resources
Ensures that company policies and procedures are adhered to in the division
Reports to the Division President on the activities of the region; including, but not limited to, variances from budgets on previous income statements, customer relations, quality, recruitment, management needs, management training, renegotiations of contracts, sales earned from operations (copy of head office), accounts receivable, profit projections, losses and unstable accounts and plans
Preferred qualifications:
Licence
Strong background in a senior management role with exposure to contract management, customer service and people development
Proven track record in successfully managing P&L budgets in facilities management departments
Must have a proven track record and knowledge of growing a business
Demonstrates strong communication, presentation and listening skills
Ability to multi-task, set priorities and maintain organization in a changing environment
Demonstrates initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
Must have strong analytical skills
Proficiency in the use of Windows-based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Lots of travel required for this position
