Area job growth picks up – Sidney Daily News

COLUMBUS – A total of 34,404 job postings were posted online from January 14, 2022 through February 13, 2022 for Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Darke, Fayette, Greene, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble counties and Shelby.

This is an increase of 1,819 ads over the previous reporting period.

Compared to the same period a year ago, this reflects an increase of 5,893 listings.

The annual salary range breakdown for job postings was as follows: entry-level jobs under $30,000 (15.9%), mid-income jobs between $30,000 and $49,000 ( 25.7%), upper-middle-income jobs between $50,000 and $79,000 (25.9%), high-income jobs (12.1%), and six-digit jobs of $100,000 or more (20.5% ).

Most jobs required a high school diploma, followed by a bachelor’s degree. A total of 5.4% of job postings required a graduate degree at the master’s or doctoral level.
